Iowa residents and businesses affected by the storms that began on June 16th now have until November 1st to file federal tax returns and make payments. This applies to Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, and Sioux Counties.
- Individuals with 2023 tax return extensions expiring on October 15 are covered.
- Businesses including partnerships and corporations with extensions expiring in September and October are also eligible.
- Quarterly tax payments and payroll returns due dates are extended, with penalties waived for timely deposits by July 1.
