Daniel Semmler, CPA

Dan’s big personality and sense of humor are immediately noticeable when clients meet him, but they quickly realize his tax and accounting knowledge are immeasurably valuable. He has a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of South Dakota and continues to stay abreast of tax code changes and new innovations to help clients minimize tax liability and be as efficient as possible.

When he’s not helping clients, Dan can be found working on his golf handicap or supporting the Hilcrest Golf and Country Club Invitational ProAm. He is also an avid supporter of United Way of Greater Yankton.

Dan notes that technology continues to affect the way CPAs help their clients going far beyond simply filing taxes on time. From navigating the complexity of taxes to analyzing data to help clients make better decisions about their businesses, “There is much more consulting vs compliance in the accounting profession.”
